Newlyweds Claire and Ryan have just moved into a new house. Both are hoping Claire’s pregnancy will be the cement needed to hold their already fraying relationship together. Little do they know their marital issues are the least of their problems. For unbeknownst to them, their scruffy, sleazy and lascivious landlord has installed numerous miniature cameras all over their home and has been spying on them from Day One. Then Ryan begins an office affair, and the landlord kits out the secret basement with chains and soundproofing. Something is going to give in this suburban shocker packed with nasty surprises.

SYNOPSIS

A hopeful couple moves into their new home, greeted by their peculiar landlord. Unbeknownst to them, the landlord has strategically placed hidden cameras in every room, satisfying his perverse obsession with spying on their most private moments. Claire and Ryan, the newlyweds, eagerly await their landlord Gerald's arrival. As he steps out of his van, Claire playfully expresses concern about his disheveled appearance. Gerald unenthusiastically gives them a tour, and when Ryan proposes exploring on their own, the older man reluctantly agrees.

Venturing into the backyard, Claire complains about Gerald's odor, likening it to spoiled mayonnaise. Ryan scolds her lightly. Later, during a dinner with friends Paul and Audry, Ryan attributes his tardiness to traffic, leading to a disagreement when Claire points out their friends' absence of similar issues. The tension escalates as Claire expresses discomfort with Gerald's staring and smell. Paul suggests changing locks, but Ryan dismisses the idea.

As the evening progresses, the men leave, and Claire and Audry discuss pregnancy while Ryan complains about their lack of intimacy with Paul. That night, Ryan, with his assistant Hannah, engages in an affair under Gerald's watchful eye. As Claire arrives, their dog Baron's frantic barking raises concern, but nothing is found. The following day, Ryan discovers a hidden basement door, igniting Claire's curiosity. However, they are interrupted by a loud slam, creating tension.

Days later, Ryan invites Hannah over, and Gerald, eavesdropping, hatches a plan. As the couple goes on a two-hour trip, Gerald secretly enters, installing more spying equipment. Claire and Ryan return, unaware of the intrusion. Claire notices a foul smell on her toothbrush, expressing her concerns to Ryan, who dismisses them.

Gerald continues his invasive actions, manipulating events, and fixing a supposedly broken toilet. Meanwhile, Ryan attempts to manage the escalating threats from Hannah. Claire, suspicious of the ring by the pool, leaves a message for Audry. Unbeknownst to her, Gerald orchestrates an attack on Hannah, and Ryan unwittingly involves Paul in the situation.
